A BIT ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Strategic Account Manager you will help grow the Ask Partner Network business by establishing strategic partnerships that extend across various products and technologies. You will manage and grow high touch relationships with toolbar, syndication, distribution, and search technology accounts on a day to day basis and liaise with internal and external customers that touch on these accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES- High level of responsibility managing a large and growing area of the Ask.com business.
- Interface with Sales, Finance, Product and Engineering to manage the implementation process of new partnerships.
- Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews of all key accounts both internally and externally with the customer.
- Prospecting for syndication, distribution, and search technology deals.
- Competitive analyses & market landscape research
- General support of deal makers.
REQUIREMENTS- 3-5 years experience Business Development, Sales Management, or Account Management experience with successful track record managing major accounts at an Internet Company
- B.A. or B.S. preferably in Business, Marketing or Finance
- Proven negotiation and deal structuring abilities
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong understanding of Internet business models
- Understanding of Internet media business and players in the space
- Basic understanding of ad serving and tracking technologies
- Basic understanding of XML and the ability to quickly learn the basic elements of emerging internet technologies
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide legal and compliance advice with respect to web search services, search syndication services, downloadable applications and web-based properties (including portals, virtual worlds and content sites). Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting, review and negotiation of complex transactional agreements for software, game and content development and distribution; business development; inbound and outbound licenses; online marketing transactions
- Being integrally involved in the businesses’ product development and ensuring compliance with Legal policies and procedures
- Drafting web and software documentation, including EULAs, Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
- Advising and supporting Legal and Business Development teams on various matters, including legal guidelines for new web properties, downloadable applications and content production
- Monitoring and advising on applicable regulations and legislation
- Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks, conflicts and issues
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-7 years of experience, blend of law firm and in-house, preferably transactional IP/IT focused
- Background in Internet, advertising (online marketing, sweepstakes, promotions), copyright, trademark and privacy law
- Demonstrated experience with commercial transactions, specifically the drafting and negotiation of complex technology-related agreements
- Excellent drafting skills
- Experience and strong interest in working for or with Internet/media companies
- Experience overseeing and closing multiple projects and transactions
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic performance
- California or New York bar membership, as applicable
